LATEST NEWS Quality Management Standard ISO 9001:2000 Has been updated to ISO 9001:2008 The Quality Management System Standard: ISO 9001:2008 was updated and issued during November 2008. The changes consist of wording clarifications only and therefore should not present our clients with too many difficulties in making the transition. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and the IAF (International Accreditation Forum) have recognized that ISO 9001:2008 introduces no new requirements only clarifications to the existing requirements based on eight years of experience of implementing the standard worldwide with about one million certificates issued in 170 countries to date. It also introduces changes intended to improve consistency with the environmental standard ISO 14001:2004. All ISO 9001:2000 certificates will be transferred to the new standard by 15 November 2010, at which point ISO 9001:2000 will be withdrawn and any certificates to this standard will become invalid. This applies irrespective of any expiry date shown on your current certificate. One of our clients was amongst the first to be recommended for certification to the new standard in December last year. We will be working with existing clients over the next 12 months to ensure their certification to ISO 9001 is maintained For further information and assistance with the implementation of the new standard please contact Andrew Holmes 07976 921005 or e-mail andrew@qualitysystem.co.uk October 2008: Quality Systems can now offer new and existing clients a complete range of Health and Safety support services to help you save time and therefore money.
